You should have seen the look on this little girl's face when she got to hold it for the first time! She was so excited! I love how adorable this pattern turned out to be and love the fact that you can roll it up.
I did make some changes to the pattern from Kati. The armadillo was twice as big as the pattern is made for, the easy way to do this with a pattern is to simply double everything, from the amount of stitches to the number of rows. On the body of the armadillo I worked it in single crochet instead of the half double crochet. I didn't make any changes to the shell except to increase it's size to fit the body. I had to add a few stitches to the width and increase the length.
