Greetings! Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving holiday. ^_^ Right now I'm working on gifts for family and friends this month, it seems November is crammed full of birthdays. The first is a Queen Serenity Doll, the doll is first and the resource photo I used. It certainly took a lot of work to finish but I'm glad with how it turned out! Thanks to Handmadekitty for the pattern on dolls she made. Its been a great help and she had the greatest idea of how to attach the limbs. ^_^ The second is going to be shawl/sweater for my mom. Winter is cold in the Midwest I hear so I think I found a really nice pattern to make for her from the free patterns at Lion Brand Yarn. She picked a beautiful blue shade for it. Get to start on that soon. I've been wanting to get this particular brand for a while now and finally got mine today! These are the lace crochet hooks, but when next month rolls around I am definately getting the normal set. What they say about these things is true! They are so comfortable to hold, and with this set you get the carrying case that has sectioned pockets for scissors, pencil, and your needles. Can I just say.... Eeeee! If you're interested in purchasing one for yourself let me know and I can point you to a great seller. I bought mine through Ebay and dealt with a wonderful lady who did a wonderful job. Remember these come from overseas most of the time so be prepared to wait for it. I bought mine on the third of this month and its the 13th today. Somewhere between 7-16 days can be expected to it to ship to you. ^_^ I've decided to start selling pieces of my crochet and patterns since those around me have been asking for them whenever they see the new things I've made. Here's my first thing that wasn't an animal. I think Hello Kitty pieces are so cute and my niece loves her. So I made her this backpack for her birthday this month. What's great about making your own items is that you can make them whatever color you love. I went through a phase most of my life where I hated pink. Yes I said it... I hated pink. Now I like it, though only in small amounts. This bag would be great with a pale pink shade and the traditional red bow for Hello Kitty. I'm currently working on another bag for sale, but hope to start on a new project soon. If you have any ideas or requests for things you'd like to see please let me know. ^_^ |
