I didn't realize how long it had been since I last posted here! I've been doing a few new projects here and there to try and keep active with my crochet, I'll add pictures later on this week so you can see what I've been up to! My current project is more like projects! I'm working on Christmas gifts for my family back in the Midwest and some friends as well, of course the hardest part about it is thinking of what would make great gifts. I'm doing ornaments or a little knick-knack. Here's the list of what's coming up! Navy Submarine - Great thoughtful gift for anyone who has served in our country's Navy. Learn what ship they were on and get crafting! If you can personalize your creation with the name of the ship it would make the gift all the more precious! Christmas Angel - These are always hard to resist, especially with those cute faces! Embroider their name on it for personalization, change the hair color to suit them as well! Gingersnap Cookie Jar - If you love cookies as much as my family does you'll love this ornament idea. Change the variety for you family's favorite sweets and don't forget the cookie jar! Would also make a great idea for a candy jar instead. Cactus Ducky - I have a ducky collector in my family, this is a great way to come up with variations you can't find anywhere else. Since I live in the Arizona I thought this would make a great gift. This ducky is a barrel cactus with his head as the flower. Quack! Old Fashion Globe - Watch the world go 'round or find the place you'd like to visit on your next vacation. Bring a sense of old world charm to your tree this year. My biggest suggestion is to make sure you make the ornament on the medium to larger side so there is enough room to stitch the countries on. Nurses Cap- Thank those who have taken such good care of us! Just no shots please. Comemorate your loved one's service in healthcare with this cute ornament. You could do a little extra research and do a current cap instead or an older style. Navi the Fairy - Bring a little bit of fantasy to your tree this year. This ornament is based on Navi from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This ornament would be great with sparkle or furry yarn to give it the magical touch. Movie Reel Ornament- For the movie nut in us all. Cuddle up and remember the old favorites of when you were a child. Embroider their favorite movie title or name with this ornament. Paint Pallet - Inspire the artist to pick up the brush and make the next masterpiece! Snow White with Apple - Give your loved one this Princess ornament and don't forget to whistle while you work! So darling! Nebraska Cornhuskers Letter - Make one for your favorite team to cheer them on. Music Book - Gather 'round and sing your favorite carols this year! Draft stopper - You never realize how handy these are until you find that draft under your door! Or to keep your little pet out of the closet! Doggie Sweater - I live in the Southwest so keeping our furry friends warm isn't a problem! But for those who live in colder climates, and especially with the little dog breeds, warmth for them is important. The puppy receiving these is named Midna, after the character in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Comment on any of the ones you see here or let me know if you'd like to see another idea for you Christmas giving. Happy Holidays! |
