As you can see here you need a long piece for the base, and six walls the same width as the base piece. This will allow for 5 different categories of sorting. With my recent interest in Pinterest I've been planning a closet redo for a home office in an extra bedroom we have for my studio. Thanks to the Organizing bug I've caught I also want to help with those annoying letters that always end up being piled up near the house computer. So I decided to use up some yarn and extra plastic canvas I had to make a mail sorter. In my house there's often letters that need to hang around the computer for a couple of days while they're acted on, but getting them in a pile just means they get higher and higher! Here you can see the pattern for the end pieces and the pattern all of the panels will follow. The outer pieces are blue, purple and green outlined in black. I made a mistake when I calculated how many holes I should have to have this pattern go across the whole piece. This should have been 28 holes wide for the boxes to make it all the way across the top. If you notice at the right side is only 2 squares wide. These are the pieces I've completed so far, two end pieces, blue, purple, and green. On the green one I messed up the pattern and didn't notice soon enough to really want to fix it! I'll be making a pattern post about this later once I get it completed.
What kind of office organization do you like to use on your desk? Have you every done a DIY project? Here's one that I want to try and I always have cardboard around the house. If you haven't tried out Pinterest it's great for all those ideas you want an photo reminder for it. DIY Magazine or Letter Organizer |
